While everyone's pain tolerance varies, most people describe the sensation as mild to moderate discomfort rather than pain. After the outline, a topical numbing cream is applied to minimize any discomfort during the process.

While you can resume wearing lipstick once your lips have fully healed, it's recommended to wait at least one week after the procedure to allow the skin to heal properly. Are there any risks or side effects associated with semi-permanent lip blush tattooing?
Like any cosmetic procedure, there are potential risks and side effects associated with semi-permanent lip blush tattooing, including infection and allergic reactions. We take all proper precautions for a safe session by using high end pigments, one time use medical grade stainless steel tools, and a sanitized environment. Should clients follow our before and aftercare instructions, there should be minimal risks or complications. Although allergic reactions to the pigments are rare, it could be possible for certain individuals. If you have a history of cold sores it is extremely common for lip blushing to trigger an outbreak. You must pre-medicate 5 days before with Acyclovir and 5 days after to prevent an outbreak. Even in the event that you have never had a cold sore, it is still a possibility with the procedure, if you notice a cold sore: Stop Aquaphore and treat the cold sore.
What if I don't like my results?
As with all elective cosmetic procedures, individuals should firmly weigh the decision to have semi-permanent makeup performed. We always recommend clients do their research and understand the procedure before making their decision. We will never talk someone into this or try and convince them they should have it! At Alphonse Beauty, we will do our utmost to shape and style the lips to the clients satisfaction prior to the procedure. We do not begin until client is happy and agrees on the shape. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realize our lips are never perfectly symmetrical. We will do our best to make slight adjustments to asymmetries but we are unable to go outside of the vermilion border due to the risk of color migration. Pigment patches and color adjustments can be fixed during the touch up session. Lip color will eventually fade if no touch ups occur.
