Lip blush is an incredible procedure that creates fuller and more defined lips, however, the procedure is not recommended for everyone. In order to prevent any complications to your overall well-being, please review the conditions listed below.
Lip BLush contradictions
Lip Blush is not recommended for anyone who is currently experiencing the following:
Pregnant or nursing
Under age 18
Chapped or cracked lips (must reschedule)
Cold sores
Sick with cold, flu, or sinus/respiratory infection (please reschedule your appointment and stay home to recover)
Skin irritations including: sunburn, rash, eczema, shingles, acne, or psoriasis near the treated area
Had Botox within 30 days from scheduled appointment
Used Accutane in the past year
Diabetes
Epilepsy
Undergoing chemotherapy
Prone to keloid scarring
Pacemaker or major heart problems
Viral infections and or diseases
Transmittable blood disease, HIV, or Hepatitis

Existing permanent makeup
Allergic to anesthetics
Allergic to: pigments, dyes, disinfectants, or any other sensitivities

In order to achieve optimal results from your lip blush appointment, the following before care instructions must be adhered to. It is very important to read and understand the before care requirements PRIOR to booking your appointment. This will help you determine how far in the future your appointment needs to be scheduled based on your individual situation.
Lip Blush before care timeline
90 Days Prior
- Stop any skin prescription medications
30 Days Prior
- No Botox
- No Filler
- No Skin Treatments (Facials, Microneedling etc...)
- Do not use Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams around the lip area
7 Days Prior
- Begin hydrating to avoid chapped lips
- Apply chapstick or Aquaphor daily to ensure lips are hydrated
- No tanning or excessive sun exposure resulting in sunburn
- No Vitamin E or Fish Oil
- No waxing, or Tinting
- IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF COLD SORES you must pre-medicate with Acyclovir 5 days prior and 5 days after procedure to prevent an outbreak
48 Hours Prior
- No aspirin, ibuprofen, CoQ10, Tylenol
24 Hours Prior
- No coffee, tea, or energy drinks
- No alcohol or marijuana
